To remove hair dye stains off of your fingers, apply a small amount of liquid detergent on the stained area and rub gently until clean. Use a white, unscented detergent to avoid skin irritation. Do not apply this method if you have wounds on your hands, eczema, rashes or other kind!
Rinse the area with water and dry it while gently wiping it with a cotton towel. Repeat the method if necessary.
You can also cleanse your skin of hair dye stains by using baking soda.
You can also cleanse your skin of hair dye stains by using baking soda.
This method involves the use of detergent again, so only use it for your hands. Mix two teaspoons of baking soda with two tablespoons of dishwashing liquid or laundry detergent. Mix well until you get a homogenous mixture. This method is considered to be efficient because of the abrasive properties of the baking soda, and also because it is known for removing dead skin cells. The detergent attracts the dye molecules, and in combination with the baking soda, it will leave your skin stain-free.
Rub the mixture onto the affected areas using a cotton pad and circular movements for 30-90 seconds. It goes without saying that you need to remove as soon as possible the mixture off of your skin if you feel itching, burning or other signs of irritation. Rinse the area thoroughly with warm water. Repeat if necessary.
Of course, for the stains on your face, you can use makeup remover or even micellar water which is known for its deep-cleaning properties.
